We made it, everyone! Hopefully, your fantasy football seasons turned out as planned and if not there’s always next season. This newsletter will be sent once a week for now until we get to something juicy like free agency. Here’s the latest news from around the NFL ahead of Week 18.
Dalvin Cook’s time in New York was short-lived and not so fruitful. Now he wants to go play for a contender. Same, Dalvin, same. But seriously, I saw the response to this tweet below and it got me thinking. Melvin Gordon is a member of the Ravens this season and has a massive shot to do it again. Insane.

In case you missed this little nugget, Carlina Panthers chairman David Tepper was caught on video throwing a drink in the direction of a Jaguars fan last Sunday. He was fined $300,000 by the NFL with the statement “All NFL personnel are expected to conduct themselves at all times in ways that respect our fans and favorably reflect on their team and the NFL”.

So what did we do right and wrong this season? This week I’ll go through the five biggest productive surprises at each position compared to their ADP back in August, and then in next week’s newsletter, I’ll address the disappointments.
All scoring (besides QB) is half-PPR points per game. ADP is based on half-PPR drafts and is courtesy of Fantasy Pros.
Quarterback
Technically, Joe Flacco is the biggest shocker but he wasn’t anywhere near the drafting radar so doesn't count. Flacco finished the fantasy season as the QB4 in fantasy points per game, averaging 20.2 in five contests.
Running Back
I added an extra one to the RB table considering Alvin Kamara’s ADP was depressed due to his suspension.
Wide Receiver
What a rookie class. Also, never count out Mike Evans.
Tight End
The TE position was a fun one this season (for once) and we’ll need to tweak the narrative of rookies not performing in their first season moving forward.
