So what did we do right and wrong this season? This week Iā€™ll go through some of the biggest productive surprises at each position compared to their ADP back in August, and then in next weekā€™s newsletter, Iā€™ll address the disappointments.

  • All scoring (besides QB) is half-PPR points per game. ADP is based on half-PPR drafts and is courtesy of Fantasy Pros.

With all the focus on Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels, rookie Bo Nix got little respect as the 23rd QB drafted. Once again Baker Mayfield is on this list after being here in 2023 and we also saw Sam Darnold come alive (with the exception of Week 18).

Jonathon Brooks scared most off of Chuba Hubbard this season and both Chase Brown and Rico Dowdle outperformed what was perceived as a lower-tier backfield heading into 2024. I had to include a sixth (Hunt) since he was totally off the fantasy radar in August.

This list was longer than expected but I just couldn't leave off anyone who ended up in WR2(ish) territory when they were pegged for way worse at the start of the season. We have a mix of a few rookies, a few guys breaking out, and some who were written off but clawed their way back in 2024.

TE was a roller coaster this season but there were some positives. A few young guns stepped up while several old names made their way back to relevancy.
