Top Cash Game Values and GPP Contrarian Plays for Week 14

Together with GameBlazers: The Next Generation of Fantasy Sports

The Deep Dive Fantasy Newsletter is now coming to your inbox seven days a week throughout the NFL season! In this Saturday edition, weā€™ll cover the top DFS values and contrarian plays for Week 14, and of course the happenings over at 4for4.

Using 4for4ā€™s powerful DFS Value Reports, Iā€™ll highlight the top DFS value plays at each position.

Week 14 Value Plays

šŸÆ QB Jake Browning ($6,500 FD/$5,200 DK)

In a week where there are quite a few differences in values across sites, Jake Browning is the only quarterback that 4for4 ranks as a top-three quarterback value on both FanDuel and DraftKings. In Week 13, Browning was the QB4 (DK points)ā€”throwing for over 350 yards and a scoreā€”but is priced as a bottom-seven quarterback on both sites. Against a middling Colts defense, Browning opens up salary to roster high-floor, high-salary studs that are needed on this slate.

ā¤ Clyde Edwards-Helaire ($5,500 FD/$4,200 DK)

Isiah Pachecoā€™s late-week scratch opened the door for Clyde Edwards-Helaire to project as one of Week 13ā€™s best values in what is expected to be the highest-scoring game of the slate (O/U 48.5). The Chiefs are home favorites against a Bills defense allowing the seventh-most schedule-adjusted fantasy points to running backs. Pachecoā€™s injury vacates 20 touches per game from the last month, including 87% of the backfield carries. Jerick McKinnon is expected to return in a pass-catching role while Edwards-Helaire ā€œis the number one guy.ā€

šŸ» WR D.J. Moore ($7,770 FD/$6,500 DK)

In the seven games where Justin Fields has played all of the Bears snaps, D.J. Moore has a 29% target share and has accounted for 44.1% of his teamā€™s air yards, the fourth-highest rate in the league. If weather permits, this game has shootout potential and Moore should thrive against a Lions defense that gives up the fifth-most schedule-adjusted points to wide receivers.

šŸ’œ TE Isaiah Likely ($5,200 FD/$3,500 DK)

As of Friday, there are serious weather concerns in this game but that could change by kickoff. After a quiet Week 11 in his first start for an injured Mark Andrews, Isaiah Likely came to life in Week 12, accounting for six targets and a 20% market share. Likely comes out of the Ravens' bye to face the worst defense against tight ends in terms of schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed.

Week 14 Contrarian Plays

Every week, 4for4 produces some of the most accurate DFS ownership projections in the industry. Using this ownership as a guide can point us to the best contrarian options to use in GPPs on both FanDuel and DraftKings.

šŸƒ QB Josh Allen ($9,000 FD/$8.300 DK)

Itā€™s rare to get the quarterback with this highest ceiling in the game with the highest total at sub-5% but that should be the case with Josh Allen this week. The perceived values are on the KC side but Allenā€™s high salary can easily be offset was his ancillary pass-catchers.

šŸ¦ RB Jahmyr Gibbs ($6,900 FD/$6,600 DK)

Most DFS players that target this game will do so by rostering the Bearsā€™ passing attack while the Lionsā€™ side goes largely ignored. Chicagoā€™s success against the rush has been well-documented this season but that usually leaves out the fact that they have allowed the most receiving yards to running backs this season. Gibbs should benefit from the matchup, especially if Jared Goff opts for shorter passes than usual with his starting center out.

šŸ“ā€ā˜ ļø WR Mike Evans ($8,500 FD/$7,700 DK)

The Buccaneers are short-handed on defense this week which means this game could be higher-scoring than expected and Falcons players could be chalky. Add a relatively high ownership projection on Rachaad White and Mike Evans stands out as one of the best leverage plays on the slate.

šŸ» TE Cole Kmet ($5,600 FD/$4,300 DK)

Tournament players that play Justin Fields will mostly bring along D.J. Moore while others will likely opt for David Njoku in Kmetā€™s range, especially if Amari Cooper is out. Kmet can capitalize on a matchup against a soft Lions secondary but at half the ownership of Moore.
