Happy Wednesday folks and welcome to this week’s Deep Dive Fantasy Newsletter. I sort through the free-agent chaos and we get some dynasty nuggets from Ryan McDowell of Dynasty League Football.

The legal tampering period between free agents and their prospective teams began on March 10th and got off to a very hot start. Here’s a look at who signed where and what it all means for fantasy football.
Top Free Agent Signings in Fantasy Football Terms
🌊 QB Sam Darnold → Seahawks (3-year, $100.5 million)
Last year Darnold was the QB9 in what was easily the best season of his career. He threw for 4,319 yards and 35 touchdowns, with an additional 212 rushing yards and a score. Jaxon Smith-Njigba is the only receiver of note left, with DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett no longer in Seattle. Consider Darnold a fantasy QB2 unless he gets some serious firepower.
✈️ QB Justin Fields → Jets (2-years, $40 million)
If he can hang onto the starting gig, Fields projects to be a solid fantasy quarterback. In six starts for Pittsburgh in 2024, Fields threw five touchdowns and rushed for 289 yards and another five scores. His rushing upside makes him a dangerous fantasy asset, and he’ll be surrounded by a solid supporting cast in New York. Fields profiles as a high-floor fantasy QB in 2025, and is someone to target in the later rounds instead of less productive traditional pocket passers.
⚡️ RB Najee Harris → Chargers (1-year, $9.5 million)
It's a great landing spot for Harris, as Gus Edwards is gone and J.K. Dobbins is likely going to come back on a more player-friendly deal than he got last season. LA ran the ball the 11th most in 2024, which bodes well for a resurgence for Harris in his new home. Consider Harris a fantasy RB3 with RB2 upside for now.
🤠 RB Javonte Williams → Cowboys (1-year, $3 million)
Rico Dowdle’s 2025 is still TBD, but for now, Williams appears to be the Cowboys RB1. He had a solid rookie campaign as the RB28 in half-PPR scoring per contest, but a knee injury derailed his 2022 season and he hasn’t lived up to expectations since. A fresh start plus early down and goal-line work could mean fantasy RB2 potential, but Williams is more likely an RB3/flex player this season.
🐏 WR Davante Adams → Rams (2-years, $46 million)
LA is likely to move on from Cooper Kupp, so his 8.3 targets per game are up for grabs. Adams has received 10+ targets per contest for seven straight seasons, so he or Puka Nacua could see slightly smaller volume than what they’ve both been used to in recent years. Considering how well Sean McVay can scheme for two elite WRs, Adams should still be considered a fantasy WR2 with WR1 upside if he can stay healthy.
The Rest
🧲 QB Daniel Jones → Colts (1-year, $14 million)
🦬 WR Joshua Palmer → Bills (3-years, $36 million)
🐆 WR Dyami Brown → Jaguars (1-year, $10 million)

Welcome to DLF Roundup. Each week, Ryan McDowell brings you a quick look at some of the dynasty happenings taking place over at Dynasty League Football.
Happy Free Agency Week! One of the most important weeks of the off-season for dynasty managers has been full of news despite what has been viewed as a subpar group, when it comes to skill position players.
DLF has been all over the breaking news, thanks to the work of Ken Kelly. You know the news by now, but check out the dynasty slant on each of the notable signings through the tampering portion of free agency.
This move provides stability to Godwin. Being the WR2 on a good offense instead of a WR1 on a bad one probably evens things out a bit and Baker Mayfield has proven to be a more than adequate answer in Tampa Bay. Anyone with Godwin can expect his customary 90 catches, 1,000 yards and a handful of touchdowns. However, if he can return to full strength and play like he did last year, we could see more. He’s 29 and leaving his prime, so he remains a solid target for anyone with a contending dynasty roster. His ADP should remain very stable.
The biggest question for Darnold is going to revolve around his starting cast. With DK Metcalf in Pittsburgh and Tyler Lockett released, Seattle has an emerging star in Jaxon Smith-Njigba and little else on offense. They’ll certainly re-tool that side of the football as they now have five of the first 90 picks in the upcoming NFL Draft. Darnold should find himself in a better position, but there are going to be questions here.
In the end, this is a good development for his dynasty value. He’s an unquestioned starter in the NFL again and should have at least this season to solidify himself as a long-term solution. His ADP will now rise as he won’t have much competition and while New York is far from a guarantee for dynasty production, it’s certainly better than sitting on the bench in Pittsburgh.
As for dynasty leagues, Harris projects as a solid RB2, at least at the moment. He’s a bona fide starter who should get solid goal line chances on Los Angeles. In addition, his motivation should be there to post a solid season. In the end, his ADP drop should stop now and level out as he gets prepared for life in LA. Everything could change should the Chargers sign someone else or use the NFL Draft on an elite-level runner. However, that’s all just speculation at the moment.
Jones is clearly in a competition with Richardson and Indianapolis has protected themselves should Richardson continue to struggle. While Jones doesn’t look like a long-term solution, we’ve seen him be a competent starter in the league and the Colts want to make sure 2025 is no disaster of a season. This is a very interesting signing to say the least and Jones’ ADP freefall is going to end now.Stick with DLF for the next few weeks and months and we’ll continue to churn out rookie content to help you crush your dynasty drafts.
