šŸˆ Monday Morning NFL Fantasy Recap šŸˆ

šŸ… Have these tigers lost their stripes? šŸ…

Weā€™re now a month into the NFL season and weā€™re quickly seeing some initial breakout performances have proven to be anything but Foolā€™s Gold and gave us some true breakout players instead. With the fantasy landscape turned on its head, letā€™s take a look at the week that was.

The Deep Dive Fantasy Newsletter is now coming to your inbox seven days a week throughout the NFL season, and Iā€™m bringing you the Monday recap each and every week. For those of you who donā€™t know me, I helped create DynastyLeagueFootball back in 2006 and have been writing about fantasy football for nearly 20 years. I truly love this time of year, so letā€™s get to it!

As always, there were some serious storylines that developed in Week 4. Letā€™s take a look at some of the headlines you could easily see today as the fantasy world reacts.

CMC Runs like a GMC

The Shanahan coaching tree has always run the zone-blocking offense that rewards players who can make one cut and turn upfield. This scheme has made fantasy heroes out of some ordinary players but fantasy enthusiasts always wondered what it would look like with a true superstar in the backfield. Well, Christian McCaffrey is proving heā€™s once again the single best weapon in fantasy football, and his 106 rushing yards, seven catches, 71 receiving yards, and four touchdowns proved it yet again. Heā€™s the perfect running back in the perfect fantasy system. Look out.

Achane of Fools

After a serious breakout last week that featured four touchdowns, many wondered just what Dolphins running back Deā€™Von Achane would do this week. Well, 101 rushing yards and two more touchdowns on eight carries proved that was no mirage in Week 3 as he made anyone who benched him look foolish. He looks like a weekly starter in fantasy leagues moving forward.

Puka Shells out Another One

With 39 catches in his first four games, Puka Nacua has shattered the record for the most catches in a playerā€™s first four games in the NFL. After a nine-catch, 163-yard performance that was capped off by the game-winning touchdown in overtime, any questions about him have been answered - heā€™s the steal of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Joe Uncool

The Bengals are in real trouble and Joe Burrow simply doesnā€™t look like himself. Whether itā€™s the pressure of the new contract, a re-shaped roster that doesnā€™t quite mix well, or some other unknown reason, Burrow has just 728 passing yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions on the season. Itā€™s crazy as he was a sure-fire QB1 heading into the year but he simply cannot be in fantasy lineups until further notice.

Donā€™t Worry, Be Zappe?

The Patriots benched Mac Jones in New Englandā€™s blowout loss to Dallas and even though Bill Belichick claims heā€™s still the starter, this is going to be a major story to follow and Bailey Zappe should be rostered in all Superflex leagues at this point. Mac Jones just hasnā€™t been good in fantasy or reality.

As always, there were injuries destined to affect fantasy leagues moving forward and there could be a few significant ones.

Kenny Pickett left the Steelersā€™ surprising blowout loss to the Texans with a knee injury. Pittsburgh thinks itā€™s minor but weā€™ll see.

Javonte Williams has battled injuries throughout his young career and he suffered a hip flexor on Sunday. While it knocked him out of the game, it looks like he may have avoided a serious injury.

Tee Higgins has had a miserable start to the season and heā€™s now reportedly dealing with a fractured rib that could keep him out for a number of weeks. This is a major buzzkill for any Higgins managers out there.

Mike Evans suffered a hamstring injury and while itā€™s not expected to be a long-term ailment, weā€™ll need to see reports this week to see just how his body responds.

The Giants and Seahawks finish up week four tonight and it should be a good one. There are two big storylines weā€™re watching tonight.

1.) How are the running back carries going to be distributed?

With the Giants likely without Saquon Barkley, fantasy owners are curious to see just what New York is going to do in the backfield. On the other side, Zach Charbonnet is starting to eat into Kenneth Walkerā€™s workload. Will that continue?

2.) Will Jaxon Smith-Njigba show up?

The Seahawks have high hopes for their star young rookie but early returns have come up flat. Will tonight feature the inevitable breakout?

Here are some of the latest articles to post on 4for4.com. Thereā€™s always something new so be sure to keep dropping by.
