šŸˆ Monday Morning NFL Fantasy Recap šŸˆ

āš”ļø Breece Lightning is Back āš”ļø

Weā€™re now past the quarter-pole in fantasy leagues and things are really heating up. Letā€™s spin around the league and break everything down from a very busy Sunday.

The Deep Dive Fantasy Newsletter is now coming to your inbox seven days a week throughout the NFL season, and Iā€™m bringing you the Monday recap each and every week. For those of you who donā€™t know me, I helped create DynastyLeagueFootball back in 2006 and have been writing about fantasy football for nearly 20 years.

I truly love this time of year, so letā€™s get to it!

As always, there were some serious storylines that developed in Week 5. Letā€™s take a look at some of the headlines you could easily see today as the fantasy world reacts.

Breece Lightning

The Jets were in dire straights this week and really needed a win on the road against Denver. They said all week they were prepared to finally unleash Breece Hall on the world and did just that as Hall had 25 total touches on the day that resulted in a whopping 194 total yards and a touchdown in a much-needed 31-21 win. With Dalvin Cook looking, well, cooked, Hall is going to have a real chance to re-establish himself as an RB1 moving forward.

No More Chasing Tails

The Bengals finally looked like themselves on Sunday, thanks in large part to a monster game from Jaā€™Marr Chase that featured 15 catches for 192 yards and three touchdowns. This was one of the greatest performances from a wide receiver in fantasy history and one that will stop the chatter about the Bengals falling off the map this week.

Moss Out

The Colts signed Jonathan Taylor to a massive contract extension this week but it was Zack Moss who stole the show on Sunday. With 165 rushing yards and two scores, Moss is making a case to hang around as at least a change-of-pace option in Indianapolis. Itā€™s going to be very interesting to see if anyone starts kicking the tires on a possible trade for Moss after this breakout considering heā€™s on the last year of his deal.

Hooked on a Thielen

The Panthers arenā€™t very good and we can just get that out of the way. However, Adam Thielen is proving he still has a lot left in the tank. After an 11-catch, 107-yard effort that also featured a touchdown, Thielen has proven to be a serious bargain in fantasy leagues this year. Can the trend continue for one of our most reliable veterans?

Deā€™Von Intervention

The Dolphins have found themselves a bona fide star in the backfield as Deā€™Von Achane again proved he has elite talent with a 151-yard performance that featured another score and a yards per carry average of, wait for it, 13.7. With 455 yards in his past three games and a ridiculous average of over 12 yards per carry on the season, Achane needs to be in every lineup moving forward, regardless of format.

As always, there were injuries destined to affect fantasy leagues moving forward and there could be a few significant ones.

Anthony Richardson left the Colts game with what looked to be a serious shoulder injury. Indianapolis may have dodged a bullet as it seems he has ā€œjustā€ an AC joint sprain. Still, concern is mounting about Richardsonā€™s durability.

Daniel Jones left the Giants game with a neck injury and itā€™s honestly no surprise as much as heā€™s been under siege. Heā€™ll get an MRI today, so weā€™ll wait to see just how much this is going to impact things.

James Conner was productive again for the Cardinals early but left the game with a knee injury. Anything significant would be a major buzzkill for a player who was playing some inspired football. Hmm.

Tank Dell was knocked out of the Texans game and will be in concussion protocol moving forward.

Justin Jefferson apparently suffered a hamstring injury and could be on the shelf for the short term. This would be a huge development so weā€™ll be watching the practice reports closely this week as well.

The Raiders and Packers end the week in the ā€œDavante Adams Bowlā€ tonight. There are two big questions that need to be answered from a fantasy perspective.

1.) If Davante Adams plays, what will he do against his former team?

Adams is undoubtedly one of the best players in the league and heā€™d surely love to show the Packers he still has a lot left in the tank. As one of the greatest prime-time performers in history, this could be fun should he be able to shake off his injury and suit up.

2.) What can we expect from these running backs moving forward?

Aaron Jones and Josh Jacobs have both had some bright spots this year but have also been mostly disappointing. Can one (or both) of them finally break through and play the way we expect?

Here are some of the latest articles to post on 4for4.com. Thereā€™s always something new so be sure to keep dropping by.
