šŸˆ Monday Morning NFL Fantasy Recap šŸˆ

šŸ¬ Catch Up and Must Start šŸ¬

If you ever thought the NFL was predictable, just look back at this week and remember the carnage. A wild and crazy day brought us a lot to unpack, so letā€™s do just that.

The Deep Dive Fantasy Newsletter comes to your inbox seven days a week throughout the NFL season, and I bring you the Monday recap each and every week. For those of you who donā€™t know me, I helped create DynastyLeagueFootball back in 2006 and have been writing about fantasy football for nearly 20 years.

I truly love this time of year, so letā€™s get to it!

As always, there were some serious storylines that developed in Week 6. Letā€™s take a look at some of the headlines you could easily see today as the fantasy world reacts.

Catch up and Must Start

With upstart rookie Deā€™Von Achane out at least four weeks, Raheem Mostert was in line for a bump in his workload, and fantasy owners were obviously excited to see just what he could do. After all, teams are constantly playing catch-up as Miami has a tendency to run the ball after going up big week after week. Well, after posting 115 rushing yards, three catches, 17 receiving yards, and scoring three more times, that question was answered. At this point, it would be a surprise if Mostert wasnā€™t the overall RB1 when Achane comes back and he remains a must-start in fantasy football.

Up and Adams

The Adam Thielen and Davante Adams saga continues. While Thielenā€™s stock goes up (he posted an 11/115/1 line on Sunday), it seems Josh McDaniels is finding creative ways to not get Davante Adams (two catches for 29 yards) the football. The next few weeks are going to be big for both these players as the trade deadline approaches.

Unlucky 13

After saying all week they were planning on ramping up the workload of Jonathan Taylor, the Colts gave Taylor and Zack Moss both 13 touches this week. This is obviously still in flux but if Indianapolis commits to a weekly running back committee, itā€™s going to have far-reaching implications in fantasy leagues.

London isnā€™t the Pitts

The Falcons finally got things going with Drake London and Kyle Pitts. London (nine catches for 125 yards) and Pitts (four catches for 43 yards and a touchdown) finally gave fantasy managers what theyā€™ve been hoping for all season. While the Falcons are far from an offensive juggernaut, this was a very encouraging sign for two players who have been massive disappointments.

Amon is A Man

The Lions welcomed back Amon-Ra St. Brown and he rewarded them with 12 catches for 124 yards and a touchdown. Sure, Tyreek Hill, Cooper Kupp, and Justin Jefferson get a lot of the attention. However, St. Brown is establishing himself as one of fantasy footballā€™s best weekly weapons and truly elite wide receivers.

As always, there were injuries destined to affect fantasy leagues moving forward and this week was especially cruel to quarterbacks.

Justin Fields reportedly has a dislocated thumb. While he tried to play with the injury, he couldnā€™t make it work. This could get really interesting with the Bears looking at a lost season.

Trevor Lawrence left the Jags game late and will reportedly have an MRI on his knee today. While he says he feels fine, this is an obvious concern.

Ryan Tannehill had to be carted off to the locker room after injuring his ankle. If this ends up being a high ankle sprain, itā€™s fair to wonder if heā€™s taken his last snap for Tennessee.

Jimmy Garoppolo was forced out of the Raiders game with a back injury and reportedly had to go to the hospital for observation.

Christian McCaffrey left the 49ers game with an oblique injury. Any lost time for McCaffrey would obviously be the major story in fantasy leagues.

David Montgomery was forced from the Lions game early with a rib injury and didnā€™t return. While this doesnā€™t seem like a long-term injury, weā€™ll have to wait and see.

Deebo Samuel suffered a shoulder injury on Sunday and didnā€™t return to the game. The 49ers are downplaying the injury a little but tests today will confirm the severity.

The Chargers and Cowboys battle tonight in what seems like an early season game with some major importance in the standings. As always, there are fantasy questions to answer but two of them certainly stand out.

1.) What will Austin Ekeler look like in his return?

Over the past few years, Austin Ekeler has been one of the single best weapons in all of fantasy football. After missing the past few weeks, it would be a welcome sight to see him back to full health and performing well for fantasy teams.

2.) Can Dak Prescott finally return to form?

The Cowboys were just blasted by the 49ers last week and Dak Prescott has simply not played well this year as heā€™s posted just five touchdowns and three interceptions on the season. Can he finally start helping fantasy teams?

Here are some of the latest articles to post on 4for4.com. Thereā€™s always something new so be sure to keep dropping by.
