šŸˆ Morning NFL Fantasy Recap šŸˆ

šŸ¬ We have a fantasy offense with a clear porpoise šŸ¬

Wow, what a crazy Week 3 we endured. With upset wins, unforeseen fantasy performances, and a few significant injuries, itā€™s time to revisit a truly explosive Sunday.

The Deep Dive Fantasy Newsletter is now coming to your inbox seven days a week throughout the NFL season, and Iā€™m bringing you the Monday recap each and every week. For those of you who donā€™t know me, I helped create DynastyLeagueFootball back in 2006 and have been writing about fantasy football for nearly 20 years. I truly love this time of year, so letā€™s get to it!

As I mentioned, there were some serious storylines that developed in Week 3. As always, Iā€™ll bring you some of the headlines you could easily see today as the fantasy world reacts.

This Offense has a Porpoise

The Miami Dolphins scored a whopping 70 points against the Broncos and we saw some amazing performances from Deā€™Von Achane (four touchdowns and 233 total yards), Raheem Mostert (142 total yards, four touchdowns of his own), Tyreek Hill (157 receiving yards and another score), and Tua Tagovailoa (309 passing yards and four touchdowns). Doing all this without Jaylen Waddle was insane and makes just about every prominent Miami skill player a must-start moving forward.

Tank you Very Much

Tank Dell was one of the biggest storylines last week after he posted a 7/72/1 game against Indianapolis in Week 2. After a 5/145/1 gem against the Jags this week, Dell is going to be a mainstay in fantasy lineups moving forward and looks like the WR1 in Houston as a rookie. Fun times ahead!

Oh, Henry!

Even the future Hall of Famer Derrick Henry canā€™t produce for a Titans offense that seems completely inept. With just 20 yards on the ground, there is clear concern for Henry and everyone else on this team. While heā€™s too good to bench in fantasy leagues at the moment, fantasy managers are going to need to see proof of life here soon.

Grin and Bear it

The Bears had a positively awful week and Justin Fields could have really used a good game on Sunday. Instead, he threw for just 99 yards, ran for another 47, threw for one touchdown, and recorded an interception in a laugher against Kansas City. It was another dismal day for a player many thought would be a true QB1 this season. At this point, heā€™s going to be benched in most fantasy leagues.

Dak to the Drawing Board

The NFL is the most unpredictable of all sports and that was again proven right with the Cowboys traveling to 0-2 Arizona and inexplicably losing 28-16. Dak Prescott completed just 25-of-40 passes for 249 yards with one touchdown and one interception in another clunker of a fantasy day. Now with just three touchdown passes through the first three weeks of the season, concern is starting to be justified in terms of his fantasy status.

As always, there were injuries destined to affect fantasy leagues moving forward and there could be a few significant ones.

Derek Carr reportedly has an AC sprain, which would likely put him out for multiple weeks. As a result, Jamies Winston is going to be a must-add by anyone looking for a quarterback to stream in the short term.

Chargers receiver Mike Williams is seemingly always battling something and it looks like he may have suffered a serious knee injury. Stay tuned on this one.

The Ravens have already lost JK Dobbins for the season and now Gus Edwards is likely dealing with a concussion. With Justice Hill battling a toe injury, the Ravens could be down to Melvin Gordon next week. Yuck.

Itā€™s been a bonanza of Monday night action and we again get a doubleheader this week as the Eagles face the Bucs in a battle of undefeated teams and the Bengals take on the Rams in what could amount to a pretty significant early season game. There are a number of fantasy-relevant questions we want answered tonight as we watch, so letā€™s get to it.

Can Dā€™Andre Swift do it again?

The Eagles are reportedly going to ride the hot hand at running back and nobody is hotter than Dā€™Andre Swift, who had 175 rushing yards last week. What can he do for an encore?

Is Baker enough to make the Bucs relevant?

Tampa Bay is surprisingly 2-0 and Baker Mayfield has played turnover-free football thus far. Can he really keep this going against a stout Philly defense?

What can we expect from this yearā€™s fantasy freaks?

The combination of Puka Nacua and Kyren Williams of the Rams are THE story in fantasy football through two weeks. Can they possibly do it again?

Will Joe Burrow play and what will that do to the Bengals offense if he doesnā€™t?

The Bengals are in early trouble and may be without Joe Burrow tonight. If heā€™s out, can Jake Browning keep these players fantasy relevant?

It should be a fun one!
