šŸ›’ Trade Deadlines Approaching!

Fantasy Marketplace and Some Good Matchups

Things got a bit crazy last week around the NFL and I canā€™t wait to see whatā€™s in store for Week 11. Todayā€™s newsletter features the final trade frenzy, some good matchups for this week, and of course, the happenings at 4for4.

Trade deadlines are either this week or in the next few depending on your leagueā€™s settings. Using 4for4ā€™s powerful trade evaluator tool, Iā€™ll highlight the final players to buy, sell, and hold, but be sure to head over and check it out yourself based on your specific roster settings.

Buys

šŸ§² RB Jonathan Taylor

The backfield is finally Taylorā€™s with 24 touches and an 88% snap share in Week 10. The Colts are on a bye this week so if someone really needs a win, they may part with the RB, whoā€™s top-5 for the rest of the season.

Give up: A WR2 like Terry McLaurin or Michael Pittman

 šŸŖŗ WR Marquise Brown

The return of Kyler Murray was a success for all involved besides Brown. He put up a measly 28 yards on one reception and was fourth in targets on his own offense. However, weā€™ve seen this tandem pop off before and Brown did receive the first target of the game. Better times are ahead and you probably wonā€™t have to give up much to acquire the WR.

Give up: An RB3 such as Najee Harris or Kareem Hunt

Sells

šŸ“ WR Courtland Sutton

Heā€™s found the end zone in four straight games, but Suttonā€™s volume and yardage output has been inconsistent. It may be beneficial to seek out a more dependable WR to make a playoff run and hopefully beyond.

Look to Acquire: Iā€™d aim for a fringe RB2 like Rhamondre Stevenson or James Conner.

šŸŒŠ RB Ken Walker

Itā€™s still Walkerā€™s backfield but Zach Charbonnet is creeping in with 11 touches to 21 for the veteran last week. Seattleā€™s schedule is pretty rough moving forward with contests against the Rams, 49ers, Cowboys, and Eagles on tap. The Seahawks are projected to lose four of those matchups and as the teamā€™s early-down back, Walker could be game-scripted out.

Look to Acquire: A WR2 like Michael Pittman or DeVonta Smith

Hold

  • RB David Montgomery

  • WR Tank Dell

  • WR Diontae Johnson

  • TE George Kittle

  • RB Josh Jacobs

Schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed, or aFPA, is 4for4ā€™s answer to biased statistics. By removing bias, we can level the playing field and compare matchups in an "apples-to-apples" manner. This paints a more accurate picture for fantasy owners. By Week 4, we have a pretty good sample size to work from, but the data gets even more trustworthy as the season wears on. Once we hit Week 12, we'll start using rolling 10-week data so the numbers stay relevant.

Quarterbacks

ā†  Patrick Mahomes vs. PHI

Managers never need a reason to start Mahomes, nor would anyone contemplate sitting the QB, but he does have a juicy matchup this week at home against the Eagles. Philly is 30th in QB aFPA this season, surrendering an average of 20.1 points per week to opposing QBs.

šŸ‚ C.J. Stroud vs. ARI

Heā€™s the QB5 in fantasy points per game through Week 10 of his rookie season, and Stroud gets another soft one this week. The Cardinals sit 28th in aFPA to enemy signal callers so far in 2023 and Stroud is red hot.

Running Backs

šŸ¦ David Montgomery & Jahmyr Gibbs vs. Bears

There seems to be room for both RBs to thrive, and they should do just that this week. Chicago is allowing the sixth-most aFPA to opposing backfields and if the Lions get up early which is very possible, both RBs have a chance to add to fantasy rosters this week.

 šŸ¤  Tony Pollard @ Panthers

Itā€™s been a rough go for Tony Pollard this season, as heā€™s the RB27 in half-PPR points per game. He does have a shot to get right this week in Carolina as they give up the second-most aFPA to enemy backfields.

Wide Receivers

šŸ›”ļøDeAndre Hopkins @ Jaguars

Heā€™s coming off a forgetful outing in Week 10, but Hopkins should redeem himself for fantasy purposes on Sunday. Jacksonvilleā€™s secondary is fairly soft against the pass, ranking 25th in WR aFPA through nine games.

ā›ļø Brandon Aiyuk vs. Buccaneers

Aiyuk is ranked as 4for4ā€™s WR7 this week, thanks to a favorable contest against Tampa Bay. Deebo Samuel is back as are all the San Francisco weapons, who could all be productive on Sunday afternoon.

Tight Ends

 šŸŖŗ Mark Andrews vs. Bengals

Andrews is a clear starter each and every week and Thursday night should be no different. The Bengals are surrendering the second-most aFPA to the TE position this season so as usual, fire Andrews up for TNF.

šŸ¦œ Trey McBride @ Texans

In Kyler Murrayā€™s first game of 2023, McBride had eight catches for 131 yards on nine targets. He should keep those points rolling this week in Houston against the 30th-ranked defensive unit in TE aFPA.
