Back in 2005, when the Chargers were still in San Diego, they had a pair of future fantasy-worthy QBs named Philip Rivers and Drew Brees. They are seen here joking around with then QB coach Brian Shottenheimer on August 4th, 2005 at Chargers Park during training camp. Perhaps they’re laughing at how uncreative Shottenheimer’s offenses would be in the future. But probably not.

Dallas star wideout and some people’s 1.01 fantasy pick thus far will reportedly not attend training camp on Wednesday as he seeks a lucrative long-term contract. This is a situation to definitely keep an eye on.
CeeDee Lamb and the team have worked on a new contract, but have not been able to come to terms. Now, he’ll officially be a holdout, collecting fines with hopes of reaching a new deal at some point.

In other Cowboy news, WR Michael Gallup was placed on the Reserve/Retired list by the Las Vegas Raiders on July 23rd. In six seasons in Dallas, Gallup posted 3,744 yards and 21 touchdowns across 86 games, with this best finish in 2019 as the WR16 in half-PPR points per contest.
Source says Michael Gallup informing Raiders he decided to retire from the NFL was unexpected.
Gallup, a former third-round pick of the Cowboys who became a 1,000-yard receiver before tearing his ACL, explained “his heart was not 100 percent into it.”

Daniel Jones is good to go for 11-on-11 drills eight months after undergoing ACL surgery. He has a shiny new weapon in rookie WR Malik Nabors to toss the ball to this season but is missing his former star RB, Saquon Barkley. Right now expectations are low as Jones is QB29 according to 4for4’s multi-site ADP tool.
Daniel Jones has been cleared for 11-on-11 drills. “He’s getting all the reps” with the ones, Daboll said.
