🔥Tuesday Morning Fantasy Football Recap
Week 9 Proved Uncle Joe Flacco's Still Got It, Plus Another Brutal Round of Injuries
In Week 9, Joe Flacco and Caleb Williams put on an epic, defense-not-invited duel. Sam Darnold picked apart the Washington Commanders, and Drake London of the Atlanta Thrashers scored a hat trick against the Boston Bruins. Wait, wrong sport. But because this is fantasy football, we also saw another round of devastating injuries that have a season-long impact.
There are four teams on bye during Week 10. If you are a team on bye that has massive fantasy repercussions, step forward. Not so fast, Titans! Still, the Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs, and Cincinnati Bengals all will need to be replaced in your lineups this week.
The Deep Dive Fantasy Newsletter will hit your inbox every Tuesday morning this season, and I will bring you the highlights, waiver wire thoughts, streaming options, and injury reports, all right here in one place.

Waiver Wire Additions for Week 10
J.J. McCarthy has had a lot written and said about his performances and about the nature of his ankle injury that kept him out six weeks. But in two of his three starts, he has finished as the QB13 or better. He came back with a bang in Week 9, throwing for two touchdowns and rushing for another. He gets the Baltimore Ravens at home in Week 10.
Trey Benson is likely to come off the IR this week (or next week) and move into a more full-time role at running back for the Cardinals. He was playing almost 60% of snaps in his two games before injury, so look for him to take that role back over. Emari Demarcado is still likely to get a lot of work on third downs, but the work going to Bam Knight and Michael Carter should now belong to Benson.
Isaiah Davis is the next man up for the New York Jets if Breece Hall is traded or an injury happens in that backfield. In the last game against the Bengals, Davis had 109 total yards, even with Breece Hall having a big game. The New York Jets want to run all day long, and Davis would rise to the stratosphere if he got the role to himself.
Parker Washington might be the last man standing in the Jacksonville Jaguars’ wide receiver room. Travis Hunter is on the IR. Brian Thomas Jr. is dealing with a couple of injuries. Dyami Brown has a concussion. That led to Washington getting eight catches for 90 yards last week. Houston poses a huge obstacle in Week 10, but Washington will have very little competition for receptions.
Parker Washington is essentially the #Jaguars receiving TE w/out Brenton Strange.
Use him inside and he's tough enough and has the catch radius to win vs tight windows.

Tory Horton caught two of Sam Darnold’s four first-half touchdowns on Sunday night and ended the game with four catches for 48 yards. That makes five total touchdowns on the year for the talented rookie, and he has loads of opportunity ahead, whether or not Cooper Kupp continues to sit out with an injury.
Luke Musgrave will take over the starting tight end role for the Green Bay Packers. The Philadelphia Eagles have been very stingy against tight ends this year, so Week 10 might be a tough game, but Musgrave is likely in line for 90% of the snaps Tucker Kraft was seeing before his injury going forward. Green Bay plays Chicago and Baltimore in three of the final four weeks of the fantasy football season.

Who to Stream in Week 10
Marcus Mariota will now start for Washington after the Jayden Daniels injury (more on that below), and gets a matchup against the Detroit Lions at home. The Commanders will need to put up points to compete with the Lions, and Mariota already has three starts this season with more than 13 fantasy points.
Michael Penix Jr. finally had a good game on the road, throwing for three touchdowns against the New England Patriots on Sunday. The Indianapolis Colts are averaging over 32 points per game, so this is going to have to be a day where Penix is throwing to keep up. It’s on the road, but in a dome, and Penix should have all his major weapons at his disposal.
NFL QBR leaders (Week 9)
1. Sam Darnold (97.8)
2. Lamar Jackson (92.0)
3. Michael Penix Jr. (89.6)
4. Josh Allen (83.9)📸 Jay Bendlin, Atlanta Falcons

Theo Johnson has five straight weeks where he has oscillated between a game over 10 fantasy points and a game under four fantasy points. He had 10 last week, but I think he keeps it going with another good game against a weak Chicago Bears linebacker and secondary corps.
Dalton Schultz wants just a little bit of that tight end production the Jacksonville Jaguars just gave up to Brock Bowers in Week 9. The Jaguars are the second-worst team in the league versus the position, allowing almost 12 fantasy points per game.
Fantasy Football Injuries to Monitor
Jayden Daniels was still in the game when the Commanders were down 38-7 in the fourth quarter against Seattle. He ran a sweep and was tackled, which forced him to pin his left arm to the ground, resulting in a dislocated elbow in his non-throwing elbow. His teammates surrounded him as he was helped off the field, and there is a chance Daniels’s sophomore season could have just come to an end.
C.J. Stroud sustained a concussion in the first half of the game against the Denver Broncos on Sunday. He did not return and now must progress through the protocol in order to have a chance to play against the Jacksonville Jaguars in a must-win game in Week 10.
Tucker Kraft is confirmed to have a torn ACL, according to Ian Rapoport. The team ran more tests on Monday to verify the diagnosis, but head coach Matt LaFleur said it “does not look good” in his post-game press conference. Kraft leads the team with 469 yards and six touchdowns, so it’s a big blow to the offense.
Tests confirmed that Packers TE Tucker Kraft did in fact tear his ACL as feared, per source.

Brian Thomas Jr. was already dealing with a lingering shoulder injury, but he ended up hurting his ankle against Las Vegas and did not return after a 34-yard reception. He will need to quickly show he can recover from this if he wants any chance of playing against Houston on Sunday.
Aaron Jones suffered an AC joint sprain against the Vikings on Sunday, but the team called it a “minor” injury after the game. Jones himself said he thinks he will be able to play in Week 10, but the team will run tests early this week to determine if he must miss any time.
Puka Nacua suffered a chest injury on a hard tackle in the second half of the Los Angeles Rams' blowout victory over the New Orleans Saints. It appears Nacua could have come back in the game, but the scoreboard meant he did not have to, and the Rams didn’t have to risk further injury. He still caught seven passes for 95 yards on the day.
Matthew Golden suffered a shoulder injury in Week 9, but it sounds like he was spared significant injury. Coach Matt LeFleur said this week that it is more of a day-to-day than a week-to-week thing for Golden. Monitor practice reports on him this week.
