🔥Tuesday Morning Fantasy Football Recap

Week 11 Brought the Worst Injury News of the Season Plus Some Low Fantasy Scores

Was it just me, or was this one of the lowest fantasy football scoring weeks we have ever seen? I had multiple teams win with scores under 100 fantasy points, and I had multiple teams completely crater with players scoring under six fantasy points all over the place.

To add injury to insult, Week 11 smacked us in our collective faces with all of the injury news that has come fast and furious since Sunday afternoon. Several big stars will miss this week with injury designations, and we may have a number one overall pick suspended for spitting? This is not the type of news we need with three weeks until the fantasy playoffs!

The Deep Dive Fantasy Newsletter will hit your inbox every Tuesday morning this season, and I will bring you the highlights, waiver wire thoughts, streaming options, and injury reports, all right here in one place.

Waiver Wire Additions for Week 12

Jacoby Brissett needs to be added in all leagues of all sizes at this point. He is throwing at an incredible rate (an NFL-record 47 completions on Sunday), and the Cardinals’ defense is so inept, they are constantly in shootouts. Brissett has not thrown for fewer than 250 yards or two touchdowns in his starts, and now gets the mediocre Jaguars pass defense.

Chris Rodriguez took over the Washington backfield completely on Sunday, rushing 15 times for 79 yards. Presumed start Jacory Croskey-Merritt had just nine carries and played significantly fewer snaps. Rodriguez will be on bye this week, so it shouldn’t cost an arm and a leg to get him. But he has the Commanders, Eagles, and Cowboys in the fantasy playoffs.

Emanuel Wilson will likely get the start for the Green Bay Packers this week, assuming Josh Jacobs misses time with his knee injury (more on that below). After Jacobs left on Sunday, Wilson had 12 touches, 49 yards, and a touchdown against the Giants. He gets a home date against Minnesota for his next matchup.

Christian Watson may also be a beneficiary of Josh Jacobs missing time if the Packers decide to go a little more pass-heavy in their offense. The Packers without Tucker Kraft and Josh Jacobs means there are a lot of touches that need to be redistributed, and Watson was a part of that last week. He had five targets and an amazing contested touchdown reception.

AJ Barner went from zero targets in Week 10 to 11 targets, 10 receptions, and 70 yards in Week 11. Welcome to the Sam Darnold experience, everyone. Barner and Jaxon Smith-Njigba were the entirety of the Seattle passing attack against the Rams last week, and Barner should be heavily involved going forward.

Who to Stream in Week 12

Bryce Young had a career day on Sunday, throwing for a franchise-record 448 yards and three touchdowns. The Panthers love to run the ball, but showed on Sunday that they are not afraid to air it out when the matchup or the defensive assignments call for it. San Francisco is up next, and they have allowed the fourth-most touchdown passes this season (21) while only managing three interceptions (31st in the NFL).

When Tyler Shough last played in Week 10, he looked like a legitimate NFL quarterback. He threw for 282 yards, two touchdowns, and no picks in a win against Carolina. Now he gets the Atlanta Falcons at home in a dome for a game that could very well turn into a shootout.

Harold Fannin Jr. is back to being the number one tight end for Cleveland after David Njoku took the title back for a short time. Njoku, however, is being phased out as the team plans for life without him next season. Njoku only caught one ball for seven yards in Week 11, while Fannin had five targets and has had 12 targets in the last two games.

Dalton Schultz continues to be heavily involved with Davis Mills under center for Houston, and it looks like C.J. Stroud will miss one more game with his concussion recovery. Schultz has at least eight targets in four of the last five games and has three straight weeks with at least six receptions.

Fantasy Football Injuries to Monitor

Aaron Rodgers has a “slight break” in his left wrist, according to Adam Schefter. This will likely keep him out at least Week 12, and the Steelers will turn to Mason Rudolph to start. More tests on Monday will help determine the extent of the injury.

Michael Penix Jr. aggravated a previous knee injury that kept him out earlier in the season, and it looks like he will miss more time because of it. Reporting came out on Monday that it was a knee bruise in addition to PCL damage. That means it’s Kirk Cousins time again in Atlanta, which means the season is truly over, even if the organization may not believe that yet. Penix will also have additional tests this week.

Dillon Gabriel suffered a concussion against the Ravens and did not return. Shedur Sanders took his place and played poorly, but he may be up again if Gabriel cannot clear concussion protocol within one week. For what it’s worth, Browns’ coach Kevin Stefanski said Gabriel is the starter whenever he is ready.

Bhayshul Tuten is feared to have a high-ankle sprain just at the end of a strong 15-carry, 74-yard day against the Chargers that included a rushing touchdown. If Tuten is out for a few weeks, that means a massive workload is coming for Travis Etienne. But the hope is he will be back out for Week 11.

Josh Jacobs left late in the first half against the New York Giants and was later ruled out for the game with a knee injury. The Packers said after the game that they “don’t believe it is season-ending,” which is both a good and bad thing at the same time. I read that to mean Josh Jacobs will miss some time, making Emanuel Wilson the best waiver wire pickup of the week.

Jaylen Warren ceded some work to Kenneth Gainwell but also exited early in the third quarter after suffering an ankle injury. We don’t yet know the severity of the injury, and likely won’t hear too much before the Wednesday practice reports unless it is some kind of horrible news we receive.

Emari Demercado exited Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers with an ankle injury that has an unknown status. Before leaving the game, Demercado carried five times for eight yards and caught two of his three targets for 12 yards. Bam Knight and Michael Carter carried the load for Arizona without him.

Drake London suffered a knee injury on Sunday, but Ian Rapoport is reporting that it is not a serious knee injury, but that London could still miss some time. With Penix going out for several weeks at least, this will be an offense that revolves around their running backs for the weeks ahead.

Calvin Ridley was able to play for one half before he suffered another injury. The team announced that Ridley broke his fibula and is out for the remainder of the season. Ridley has likely played his last game for the Titans and will need to turn his attention to trying to get a short-term deal for 2026. Elic Ayomanor gets a slight bump with this news, but really, we don’t want any part of this passing game.
