Quarterbacks

What stands out: Anthony Richardson moved from QB11 up to QB5 this week after a 20.9 fantasy point performance in his rookie debut. Jared Goff climbed into the top 12 in what will likely be a shootout against Seattle.

Running Backs

What stands out: David Montgomery cracks the top 10 due to his impressive usage last week and soft matchup, and Derrick Henry moves into the No. 2 spot against a soft Chargers run defense.

Wide Receivers

What stands out: Calvin Ridley’s Week 1 outing solidified his Top 10 status for this week, while a downgrade at QB for Garrett Wilson slides him out down to WR15.

Tight Ends

What stands out: There is a sea of yellow in this week’s TE rankings with three of the Top 5 all boasting questionable designations. Hunter Henry lands at TE8 after a solid Week 1, along with a favorable match-up at home against the Dolphins.

Staying ahead of league mates can be a difference-maker in fantasy football. Stashing players a week ahead for streaming or eventual bye-week fill-ins can give us that edge we all crave. Here are some players with either great Week 3 matchups, or they’re in the position for more volume based on injuries ahead of them.

🐴 Adam Trautman, TE (DEN) - With WR Jerry Jeudy sidelined, the Broncos began Sunday’s game 12-personnel heavy, but had to back off once TE Greg Dulcich left the game with a leg injury. Dulcich is currently sidelined and the Broncos get a Miami defense in Week 3 that was 31st against TE last season and allowed 12.9 fantasy points to the LAC TE room in Week 1.

🍔 Calvin Austin, WR (PIT) - While most managers will likely target Allen Robinson due to Diontae Johnson’s hamstring injury, Calvin Austin may go unnoticed. Austin caught all six of his targets for 37 yards on Sunday, with three of those balls going his way after Johnson was on the shelf. It’s a four-week timetable for Johnson’s return and Austin could be a nice fill-in.

🐻 Roschon Johnson, RB (CHI) -The backfield in Chicago is standing room only right now, but Roschon Johnson has so much upside, that he warrants a bench spot now. The rookie saw seven targets and bullied himself into the end zone, mostly during garbage time, but the Bears did sprinkle him in for carries throughout the contest. Be patient with Johnson, as he’ll likely carve out a larger role for himself in neutral game scripts as the season chugs along.

We get the Minnesota Vikings in Philadelphia this week to face the Eagles. Philly is coming off a win in a wacky and rainy contest, while the Vikings were shocked at home by Tampa Bay. There are plenty of fantasy pieces in this contest so let’s get to it.
