🦃 Top NFL Thanksgiving Performances

Best plays for Week 13

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Get those comfy pants ready for a full day of football, family, friends, and of course, lots of food. Enjoy the holiday however you choose to spend it.

There have been some highly memorable Thanksgiving Day performances over the years. Here are just a few to wet those whistles before tomorrow’s full-day NFL fest.

😈 vs. 🤠 1998—Randy Moss had three bombs for TDs in the same game. During his rookie season, Moss housed a 51-yarder and two 56-yard receptions, which were his only three catches of the game. Troy Aikman played catchup with 455 yards after falling behind due to Moss. That was a career game for the Hall of Famer who also set personal records for attempts (57) and completions (34) in that contest.

🧲 vs. 🦁 2004 - Peyton Manning threw six TD passes to tie Bob Griese’s record. In a 41-9 drubbing of the Lions, Manning tossed six scores which had been done once before on Thanksgiving, by Miami’s Bob Griese back in 1977. There were only 23 completions in that contest by Manning and more than a quarter were TDs.

🎖️ vs. 🦁 - 2010 - Tom Brady gets a perfect passer rating. The Pats were down halfway through the third quarter and Brady threw three TDs in under 15 minutes, ending with a total of 341 yards and four touchdowns. It was one of three contests where Brady achieved a perfect passer rating in his career.

🎖️ vs. ✈️ - 2012 - The Butt Fumble. They can’t all be good plays, right? I’ll just let you watch it for yourself.

Schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed, or aFPA, is 4for4’s answer to biased statistics. By removing bias, we can level the playing field and compare matchups in an "apples-to-apples" manner. This paints a more accurate picture for fantasy owners. By Week 4, we have a pretty good sample size to work from, but the data gets even more trustworthy as the season wears on. Once we hit Week 12, we'll start using rolling 10-week data so the numbers stay relevant.
