šŸŽ–ļøWeek 5 Rankings

TNF Preview and a Look Ahead

The dreaded bye week gauntlet has begun and the Eagles, Chargers, Titans, and Lions start us off in 2024. We get a not-so-sexy NFC South battle tonight between the Buccaneers and Falcons but of course, weā€™ll take it. Todayā€™s newsletter goes over some ranks, stashes, and a TNF preview courtesy of Bleacher Nation Fantasy.

All rankings are based on half-PPR scoring. For full ranks in a variety of scoring formats, head to 4for4.com.

Quarterbacks

What stands out: With Jalen Hurts and Jared Goff on byes this week, we see a few new faces amongst the QB1 set. Jordan Love and Brock Purdy enter the top 5 thanks to some favorable matchups, while Geno Smith joins the starter conversation.

Running Backs

What stands out: Coming off a 116 all-purpose yard with three TD performance, Ken Walker claims the No. 4 spot this week, while Chuba Hubbard moves up to ninth. If he plays, Joe Mixon will re-enter the RB1 chat, as well.

Wide Receivers

What stands out: With Rashee Rice, and A.J. Brown sidelined, plus Amon-Ra St. Brown watching from home, we get a nice shakeup at WR1 this week. Some fresh names at the top include Malik Nabers and Nico Collins, with Amari Cooper and rookie Marvin Harrison Jr. joining the party.

Tight Ends

What stands out: There are way too many injury tags for a position already tough to maneuver in 2024.

With bye weeks starting this week, here are some good stashes ahead of Week 5.

šŸ˜ˆ Ty Chandler, RB - Vikings (29% rostered)- Chandler had 28 touches through the first three games, but only saw four last week, likely due to the Aaron Jones revenge game in Green Bay. Heā€™s a talented back behind an aging RB with an injury history and is also on one of the highest-scoring offenses so far in 2024. Stash him if you can.

šŸŖŗ Tyler Allgeier, RB - Falcons (28% rostered) - Heā€™s not a stand-alone value guy but Allgeier is seeing some decent volume so far in 2024. The Falcons RB has averaged eight carries for 48.3 rushing yards per game over the last three weeks with three total targets. With bye weeks starting and the number of injuries piling up around the league, stashing the 24-year-old may benefit you long-term.

šŸÆ Erick All Jr., TE - Bengals (1% rostered)- After nothing in Week 1, All has seen four targets in each of the last three contests. The Cincy TE was on the field for 60% of the snaps in Week 4 which was the most of any of their TEs, but a big chunk of that was spent blocking. All is perfect in the receiving department, as heā€™s caught every ball thrown his way so far and is one of six players and the only TE to do so in 2024. We canā€™t say the same for Mike Gesicki who sits 51st among pass-catchers. Grabbing All now could pay off if he continues to carve out a bigger role for himself in the Bengals offense, considering how slim the TE position is this season.

šŸ¶ Jerry Jeudy, WR - Browns (49% rostered)- The Browns passing game hasnā€™t been very exciting or particularly productive in 2024 as they have yet to put up more than 18 points but Jeudy is averaging 7.5 targets per game which is encouraging. What is even more intriguing for stash purposes is Clevelandā€™s schedule up until their Week 10 bye. Jeudy will face four teams in a row that sit 21st or worse in aFPA to opposing WRs. If he and Deshaun Watson can get on the same page it could be a fruitful run for Jeudy for those in need of WR bodies.

The Falcons play host to NFC South rival Tampa Bay tonight. Plenty of fantasy pieces are involved in this one, so letā€™s find a contest to play.
