šŸ„‡Week 7 Ranks

An NFL game is an NFL game, right?

Tonightā€™s Broncos vs. Saints has the makings of a typical TNF slog, but maybe it will surprise us. Either way, I have you covered for this weekā€™s top ranks, some stashes, and the latest at 4for4.

All rankings are based on half-PPR scoring. For full ranks in a variety of scoring formats, head to 4for4.com.

Quarterbacks

What stands out: Rookie Jayden Daniels is in the top spot, up from QB3 in Week 6. Geno Smith is back among the fantasy QB1s, replacing a resting Dak Prescott.

Running Backs

What stands out: Back from his bye, Kyren Williams is the RB1 courtesy of a soft date with the Raiders. Tony Pollard and Joe Mixon are among the top 12 this week, replacing an injured James Cook, and James Conner, who falls down to RB18 in Week 7.

Wide Receivers

What stands out: As of Thursday morning, several injury tags are among the top 12 WRs, so these ranks may be shaken up by game time. The most notable moves are Terry McLaurin joining the WR1s, Chris Godwin jumping from WR9 to WR2 this week thanks to his matchup with a surprisingly soft Ravens secondary and increasing role, while his teammate Mike Evans falls just outside at WR13.

Tight Ends

What stands out: What stands out is that TE has returned to only the top 3 can be counted on, except two of the elite three are names we didnā€™t anticipate. When Zach Ertz and Hunter Henry are among the top 12 in 2024, you know it isnā€™t good.

With bye weeks in full swing, here are some good stashes ahead of Week 7.

šŸŖŗ Tyler Allgeier, RB - Falcons (36% rostered) - Heā€™s been here before this season but I will continue to stick Allgeier in this column until he is rostered by more than 50% of managers out there. The Atlanta RB posted 19.3 points in half-PPR scoring last week, but to be fair, he handled most of the late-game duties while in a game-leading script. Allgeierā€™s stand-alone value isnā€™t consistent but heā€™s arguably the strongest handcuff in the NFL.

āšœļø Bub Means, WR - Saints (4% rostered) - No Chris Olave? No Rashid Shaheed? No Problem. Well, maybe some problems but Bub Means would be the next man up. Last week once Olave was ruled out with a concussion, the rookie hauled in five of eight targets for 45 yards and the first career touchdown from fellow rookie Spencer Rattler. We still don't know how long Olave or Shaheed (knee) will be out, but Means could be a sneaky grab this week just in case.

šŸ“ Devaughn Vele, WR - Broncos (1% rostered) - The rookie had been a healthy scratch since Week 1 but was activated last week and saw six targets which tied for the most in the Denver offense. Josh Reynolds was placed on IR for a finger injury ahead of Week 6 which left Vele and Troy Franklin behind Courtland Sutton. Weirdly, Vele has now led the team in receptions both times heā€™s been on the field so if heā€™s active he should be on the fantasy radar. The Broncos have a couple of softer matchups on the horizon in Weeks 8 and 9 so snagging Vele or Franklin as end of bench stashes now may not be a bad idea.

šŸ Jordan Whittington, WR - Rams (8% rostered) - Itā€™s been a carousel of LA WRs in the add-and-drop department but Jordan Whittington has staying power. Cooper Kupp may return this week and will resume WR1 duties but Whittington should maintain a weekly role. Heā€™s seen 18 targets in the last two contests and caught 13 of those for 151 yards.

The Saints play host to Denver tonight. Despite all the injuries, there are some fantasy pieces involved in this one, so letā€™s find a contest to play.
