TNF Preview and a Look Ahead
We have some hopefully smashmouth AFC North football on tap tonight and Iām here for it. In todayās edition of the Deep Dive Fantasy Newsletter, Iāll cover Week 12 ranks, a look ahead, the TNF matchup, and of course the latest at 4for4.
All rankings are based on half-PPR scoring. For full ranks in a variety of scoring formats, head to 4for4.com.
Quarterbacks
What stands out: Tua Tagovailoa has entered QB1 status this week along with Jordan Love and Baker Mayfield, who took a week off for various reasons. Russell Wilson falls from the QB10 to QB20 thanks to tonightās gritty battle.
Running Backs
What stands out: Josh Jacobs is a fantasy RB1 this week in Lambeau but has an injury designation so keep an eye on his status. Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery, who come from the same high-powered offense, both have seats at the top 12 table.
Wide Receivers
What stands out: Welcome back Mike Evans! And a big hello to Ladd McConkey who is cracking the WR1 ranks for the first time in his NFL career (probably, I have no actual data to back that up).
Tight Ends
What stands out: We have some Jon-nu names in the top 10 at TE this week (hat tip to my coworker Justin Edwards for the pun from his streaming article). Cade Otton is back from his bye week and is joined by Smith and Will Dissly. The usual suspects are here too, like weekly floor play Zach Ertz.
With 12 teams yet to have their bye week, here are some good stashes ahead of Week 12.
š Mike Williams, WR - Steelers (16% rostered) - I know, I keep putting Williams in here but heās going to hit one of these weeks. Russell Wilson has this offense humming and their remaining schedule is a thing of beauty for WRs with four contests against defensive units ranked 25th or worse in WR aFPA. Itās only been two weeks, so hopefully we see more from Williams as he acclimates to his new home in Pittsburgh.
šāā¬ Adam Thielen & Xavier Legette, WR - Panthers (24% & 27% rostered) -There are 12 teams with byes either this week or in Week 14 so Thielen becomes a smidge more appealing, despite being a bit long in the tooth (in football years) and coming off an injury. He should return to WR1 status for Carolina and he and Legette, who has two 11+ outputs in half-PPR scoring over the last few weeks, could be useful down the stretch. This week they face the Chiefs though, which isnāt the most appealing matchup, but they are 14th in WR aFPA so arenāt totally locked down.
š”ļø Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, WR - Titans (9% rostered) - He was in my stash article in Week 10 so maybe some of you still have him, but Westbrook-Ikhine doesnāt seem to be letting up, or at least his involvement in the Titans offense is staying steady. He has a touchdown in five of the last six games on 4.6 targets per game and has arguably the juiciest remaining schedule of any WR corps out there, with five contests against teams ranked 17th or worse in WR aFPA, including two versus the Jaguars 30th ranked unit.
The Browns play host to AFC North rival Pittsburgh tonight. Plenty of fantasy pieces are involved in this one, so letās find a contest to play.
