TNF Preview and a Look Ahead
Whoās ready for some old-fashioned NFC East football? Welcome to Thursdayās edition of the Deep Dive Fantasy Newsletter, where Iāll cover Week 11 ranks, a look ahead, the TNF matchup, and of course the latest content at 4for4.
All rankings are based on half-PPR scoring. For full ranks in a variety of scoring formats, head to 4for4.com.
Quarterbacks
What stands out: Bo Nix and Russell Wilson enter the chat this week thanks to favorable matchups, while Sam Darnold and Kirk Cousins fall to 17th and 23rd respectively, courtesy of more difficult opponents.
Running Backs
What stands out: Christian McCaffrey is back at the No. 1 spot after a very long hiatus from overall RB1 status. Jahmyr Gibbs and James Cook have also returned to the top 12 after falling out last week in favor of Aaron Jones and DāAndre Swift.
Wide Receivers
What stands out: Welcome to WR1-ville George Pickens! He has a very juicy matchup and lots of chemistry with Russell Wilson. Letās also welcome Puka Nacua and Deebo Samuel to the top 12 this week.
Tight Ends
What stands out: Brock Bowers is back at TE1 after resting last week. He is joined by David Njoku at No. 4, who is also back from his bye. Dalton Kincaid and Jake Ferguson drop out maybe for the rest of the season.
With half of the NFL still having bye weeks ahead of them, here are some good stashes.
ā”ļøWill Dissly, TE - Chargers (8% rostered) Weāve seen a significant uptick in Disslyās usage over the last five weeks. Before the Chargers Week 5 bye, he was averaging 2.5 targets per contest which has jumped to 6.4 in his last five games. Dissly actually led the offense in targets last week with six, which he turned into 30 yards. LA is still clearly a run-heavy offense but he does have a favorable schedule for the remainder of the season and could provide a nice fill-in if your regular TE still has a bye week ahead.
š Mike Williams, WR - Steelers (20% rostered) He was on this list prior to the NFL trade deadline but Williams is back now that heās found a home in Pittsburgh. His debut was interesting last week as the WR caught his one lone target for a 32-yard touchdown, which was the go-ahead for the Steelers. His role will likely increase moving forward as he gets more comfortable with the offense, and Pittsburghās schedule is chefās kiss, as they play the Ravens and Browns twice, defenses that sit 32nd and 30th, respectively, in aFPA to enemy WRs.
š“ Devaughn Vele, WR - Broncos (1% rostered) Another repeat in this column, Vele is back after some consecutive usage for Denver. Heās not lighting up fantasy rosters, but the rookie did score his first career touchdown last week and has averaged almost four targets per game since returning from injury in Week 6. Vele was on the field for the second most WR snaps behind Courtland Sutton last week (66%) and this brewing chemistry with Bo Nix may lead to more consistent fantasy-relevant volume.
š John Metchie, WR- Texans (4% rostered) We canāt get overly excited after Week 10ās career-high 5-74-1 line from Metchie, but this may be closer to the norm moving forward even if Nico Collins returns this week. Metchie has averaged four targets per contest over the last three weeks which is encouragingly consistent. Tank Dell has been underwhelming at times and they could turn to the hot hand after a brutal loss last week against Detroit. Plus, itās just too easy to root for the 24-year-old to succeed.
The Eagles play host to NFC East rival Washington tonight. A myriad of fantasy pieces are involved in this one, so letās find a contest to play.
