Grab These Guys Now Before Bye Weeks Begin

In partnership with

Well, at least one of last night’s games was somewhat entertaining. Hopefully, you were not up against Kenneth Walker like I was in several leagues. The show must go on and in this Tuesday's edition of the Deep Dive Fantasy Newsletter, I’ll cover waiver wire adds, players to consider streaming for Week 5, and of course, 4for4’s latest.

The first of the bye weeks is upon us, with the Lions, Chargers Eagles, and Titans all watching from home this week. Here are some waiver adds to help get you through the losses both via the week off and injuries.

🤠 Rico Dowdle, RB Cowboys (49% rostered)

Dowdle was in here last week but his roster percentage only rose by 7%. The Dallas RB has out-snapped, out-touched, and out-performed Ezekiel Elliott through the first four games but sadly, the Cowboys haven’t had much opportunity for RBs in the red zone which has capped his fantasy performance. Dowdle should be rostered but don’t expect more than a fantasy RB3 output for now.

🧢 Wan’Dale Robinson, WR Giants (26% rostered)

Currently fourth in the NFL in targets with 38 total, Robinson is a solid add in PPR leagues and is also worth a look in half-PPR formats. Malik Nabers is the alpha in a so-so offense but he did suffer a concussion last week which could open up even more work for Robinson.

🧀 Dontayvion Wicks, WR Packers (14% rostered)

It’s tough to really know which Green Bay WR to go for but I lean Wicks over Romeo Doubs based on target distribution post Christian Watson's injury last week. I’d put in a claim for both and see what happens if they are available in your league.

🧲 Trey Sermon, RB - Colts (1% rostered)

While he’s certainly not a sexy pickup, if Jonathan Taylor misses next week with an ankle injury, Sermon is basically an opportunity and volume add. With RB as decimated as it is, a guy who’ll possibly see 15 touches could be a nice fill-in.

Other Waiver Wire Candidates:

  • Darnell Mooney, WR-Falcons (47%)

  • Tucker Kraft, TE - Packers (4%)

  • Xavier Legette, WR - Panthers (14%)

  • Alexander Mattison, RB - Raiders (32%)

  • Tank Bigsby, RB - Jagusrs (12%)

  • Josh Downs, WR - Colts (14%)
