Quarterbacks

What stands out: We have some new names in the Top 12 this week with Matthew Stafford, Kirk Cousins, Joe Burrow, and Geno Smith all facing teams ranked 22nd or worse in schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed to QBs.

Running Backs

What stands out: It’s wonderful to see Austin Ekeler’s name in the rankings again as he makes his way back from an ankle injury. David Montgomery gets a five-spot bump, Kyren Williams is up four spots and Ken Walker, Raheem Mostert, and Alvin Kamara enter the Top 12 in Week 6.

Wide Receivers

What stands out: Puka Nacua falls out of the top and is replaced by teammate Cooper Kupp. Fresh off a bye week, Mike Evans sits at No. 10 thanks to a soft matchup against Detroit, while Calvin Ridley is once again projected as a fantasy WR1 this week.

Tight Ends

What stands out: Thanks to a decent outing last week, Kyle Pitts is back amongst the Top 12 while Hunter Henry falls to TE17 despite the favorable matchup against the Raiders.

Staying ahead of league mates can be a difference-maker in fantasy football. Stashing players a week ahead for streaming or eventual bye-week fill-ins can give us that edge we all crave. Here are some players with either great Week 6 matchups, or they’re in the position for more volume based on injuries ahead of them.

⚜️ Jamaal Williams, RB (NO)

The earliest Jamaal Williams can return to the field is Week 7 following a stint on IR due to a hamstring injury, so now would be the time to stash him if you’re RB-needy like most managers. It’s tough to know exactly where he’ll fit in with Alvin Kamara now activated and cruising, and Kendre Miller also in the mix, but there should be some juicy goal-line and change of pace work for Williams upon his return.

🏴‍☠️ Ke'Shawn Vaughn, RB (TB)

Tampa Bay’s run game has been less than impressive and Rachaad White’s touch share decreased from 89% in Week 3 to 64% the last time they played in Week 4. Ke'Shawn Vaughn saw 10 touches against the Saints before the Bucs' Week 5 bye so things may be shifting away from lead-back duties for White. Rookie Sean Tucker is also in the mix but he was only on special teams last week, so Vaughn gets the stash nod for now.

🐈‍⬛ Jonathan Mingo, WR (CAR)

The rookie WR is getting looks, they're just not translating to fantasy football yet for Jonathan Mingo. He’s seen five or more targets in every game he’s played so far this season, with last week’s 48 yards on five receptions a high point. Carolina was in comeback mode in that outing against the Lions and there may be plenty more of those in the coming weeks.

Right now, Mingo is second among Panther WRs in targets and it’s a matter of time before production follows. At just an 8% rostership, he’s worth a stash if you have the room.

Patrick Mahomes is a perfect 11-0 against the Broncos and the Chiefs get Denver at home for this TNF AFC West matchup. There are plenty of fantasy pieces in this contest so let’s get to it.
