🕹️ Week 7 Waiver Wire

Week 7 was a doozy with undefeated teams falling, a plethora of injuries, and some crazy outcomes. In the Tuesday edition of the Deep Dive Fantasy Newsletter, I’ll cover waiver wire adds, players to consider streaming for Week 7, and of course the happenings over at 4for4.

We have six teams watching from home this week, which will likely induce some panic in fantasy land. Don’t fret, here are some waiver wire players to help the cause for Week 7.

🐈‍⬛ Chuba Hubbard, RB - Panthers (59% rostered)

While his rostership is slightly high for a waiver wire recommendation, Hubbard is still free in 41% of leagues so he may be there for you. Miles Sanders has been dealing with another injury (shoulder) and in his absence, we got the best RB performance of the season from Hubbard with a 19-88-1 line against the Dolphins in Week 6.

🐏 Zach Evans, RB - Panthers (2% rostered)

Kyren Williams is on the shelf for at least one week with an ankle injury and his backup, Ronnie Rivers, will be out for closer to 4-5 weeks with a PCL sprain which could mean a trip to the IR. That leaves Evans as the only healthy option for Week 7, and worst case scenario he’s Williams’ backup if he’s able to go. Don’t expect too much from anyone in the Rams’ backfield as the return of Cooper Kupp skews this offense more pass-heavy, but Evans is a warm body in a tough week for byes.

🦁 Craig Reynolds RB, Lions (2% rostered)

With David Montgomery out for “some time” with a rib injury which we can assume is at least through their Week 9 bye, and Jahmyr Gibbs still dealing with a hamstring issue, Reynolds has some opportunity to produce for fantasy rosters. He’s coming off a 12-touch outing that produced 43 combined yards against the Buccaneers.

↠ Rashee Rice, Chiefs (45% rostered)

Rice is the target leader at WR for Kansas City through six games and set a season-high in receiving yards (72) last week against the Broncos. With Justin Watson suffering an elbow injury that appears to be multi-week, Rice could see an uptick in usage with the potential to elevate the rookie to starting status.

• Tyjae Spears, RB - Lions (48%)

• Jordan Mason, RB - 49ers (6%)

• Latavius Murray, RB - Bills (14%)

Playing the matchups for certain skill players is a viable strategy from week to week. Here’s a look at the top candidates for Week 7 in the four streamable positions. Only players rostered in 40% or fewer of Yahoo fantasy leagues will be discussed in this weekly segment.
