There are weirdly no byes this week in the NFL, but as usual, we’ve experienced a plethora of injuries that have the potential to crush your seasons. However, don’t fret, the waiver wire features some playable replacements ahead of Week 8.

🧲 Josh Downs WR, Colts (36% rostered)

Downs has averaged seven targets per game with Gardner Minshew under center over the last two weeks (22.2% target share) and has seen six red zone looks in that time frame. The rookie WR found the end zone in each of those last two games as well and is clearly establishing himself in the Colt’s offense. For now, he’s free in 64% of Yahoo leagues but this is likely the last week you’ll be able to grab Downs off the waiver wire.

🐏 Darrell Henderson RB, Rams (25% rostered)

Henderson was right back at home with the Rams after signing to their practice squad last Tuesday. The RB had 18 carries for 61 yards and a touchdown in his 2023 debut, with Royce Freeman right behind him with 12 touches. Kyren Williams is still several weeks out from returning so Henderson should be fantasy-relevant in the meantime.

🎖️ Kendrick Bourne WR, Patriots (26% rostered)

With 18 targets over the last two weeks, Bourne is emerging as the go-to guy for the Patriots. He was in on 93% of the snaps against the Bills which resulted in their best performance of the 2023 season. Up next for New England are three great matchups for Bourne as the Dolphins, Commanders, and Colts all sit in the bottom half of the league against WRs.

🦬 Dalton Kincaid TE, Bills (42% rostered)

Fellow Buffalo TE Dawson Knox is having wrist surgery and his return date is still TBD. This should open the door for Kincaid who’s already starting to be featured a bit more with eight targets last week (the second-most among Bills). This week’s tilt against Tampa Bay isn’t the best matchup for the rookie TE, but he gets the Bengals, Broncos, and Jets right after who are all very forgiving to the position this season.
